We've got a big show coming up at one of my all-time favorite places to play, The Aster Cafe! We're really looking forward to this special show, as we'll be debuting one or two brand new songs, that will be featured on our upcoming record!

Plus, joining us for the show is the incredibly talented Miss Becky Kapell! And I cannot wait! We've been trying to put this show together for months, and it's finally gonna happen. She has a love for the classic country of the 60’s and 70’s and her own songs show it. It's gonna be a real treat to share the stage with Miss Becky!

I'm tellin' ya, it's gonna be all smiles! So, come on out, we'd love to see you!

Upcoming show with Bec Smith!

We've got a very, very special night coming up on Friday, Oct. 2nd at the Wild Tymes and The Palace Stage, in downtown St. Paul, Mn. Our good friend, the wonderfully talented Bec Smith, will be performing and sharing the stage with us!

Bec will be playing some favorites from her excellent CD's "Temper" and "Blessing" as well as some new songs! AND, we'll be celebrating Bec's birthday!

Bec, as you might remember, sang some beautiful harmonies on our record, "The Higher You Climb."

Michael Ray Pfeifer and Curt Hutchens will open up the night at 8pm with an acoustic set, featuring some brand new songs from our upcoming record "Juggernaut", as well! Bec Smith and her band at 9pm. And then, Michael Ray & The Nasty Notes will plug in around 10pm.

So come on out!

New Record!

Hey Good Friends!

I'm so excited to let you know that I've been working with producer Casey Smith and KnottBrite Studio on our upcoming third record! We're cutting this new record over the next few months, and I can't wait for you to hear it! The recording is going to feature Casey Smith, Ryan Inselman, and my bandmates, Curt Hutchens, Pat Wheeler, Dan Carlsen and John Fitzgerald.

I've been so fortunate to get to know so many of you over the last couple of years, and I just wanted to say thank you for supporting me and grass root indie artists! Keep rockin'!

Songwriter's Showcase & Scoops for Troops!

Here's a quick pic from the Silver Stars Songwriters Showcase that was held at Neisen's Bar & Grill in Savage, MN on April 23rd! It was a preview show for the upcoming Scoops for Troops Ice Cream Social and Tribute to the Troops, which happens on Sunday, May 3rd, at the Blackhawk Middle School in Eagan, Mn.

It's gonna be a great afternoon of music from 1-5pm, featuring Geoff Elvee, Tim Houlihan, Carey Keavy, Buzzrique, Jimmy C, Bill Woodson & Sunny VanBrocklin, Rhinestone Diplomats, The Cellar Kings and Infinities! We'll be playing close to 3pm. So come on out and support this great cause!

I'm also very proud to have my song "Daddy's Coming Home" featured on the Silver Stars "Songs of the 21st Century Veteran's Experience Vol. 4 CD, which will be available on May 3rd! You can listen to it here!

Springtime with The Nasty Notes!

Well, Spring is here and Summer is right around the corner! And we're excited about it all!

I've been super busy over the last few months working with my good friend Casey Smith, from KnottBrite Studios in Minneapolis, on demos for a new record we hope to have out sometime this year! Let me tell you, folks, it's gonna be smokin'! More news on that soon!

And we couldn't be more excited, with a full line-up of gigs over the next few months. Some new dates have come on board that we're excited about, including the Scoops for Troops event on May 3rd in Eagan, MN. And the big news is we'll be playing a tight set at the wonderful MARKETFEST in White Bear Lake, on July 23rd!

Hello Hello!

Hi y'all! We've been having a great time playing this year! Recently we shared the stage with the great Vernon Dixon band at Palmer's Bar (2/20/15). Man, that was a blast! See photos from that show taken by the wonderful Cori Miller, in our Photo Gallery!

This past Saturday we played at The Contented Cow in Northfield, Mn. Another stellar night, cut loose, wild and free! We can't wait to get back there again!

We're going to be at The Tavern (Northfield) on Friday, April 17th, and then we're playing the Scoops for Troops Ice Cream Social & Tribute to the Troops, on Sunday, May 3rd in Eagan, MN. This is a great event and we're glad to be part of it! Click here for more info on Scoops for Troops.
